Job Description
Consolata Hospital Mathari is seeking a dedicated Physiotherapist to join its medical team. The primary purpose of this role is to provide high-quality physiotherapy services, assisting patients affected by injury, illness, or disability through movement, exercise, manual therapy, education, and advice.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and evaluations of patients in accordance with clinical standards.
Treatment Administration: Deliver a full range of physiotherapy treatment techniques to improve patient mobility and function.
Program Development: Create, implement, and periodically review individualized treatment plans using movement, exercise, and range of motion techniques.
Progress Monitoring: Closely monitor patient recovery and report outcomes to referring physicians and the medical team.
Collaborative Care: Work alongside ward staff, nurses, and doctors to ensure holistic care and safe patient handling.
Patient Education: Instruct patients, families, and carers on specific treatments and home-based exercise programs.
Facility Management: Ensure that physiotherapy equipment and departmental facilities are well-maintained and serviced on time.
Professional Standards: Maintain high levels of compassion, professionalism, and legal accountability while staying updated on emerging physiotherapy technologies and techniques.
Professional Qualifications
Diploma in Physiotherapy.
Registered with/Member of the Kenya Society of Physiotherapy.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong team player with demonstrated leadership potential.
Ability to perform under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
Computer literacy for reporting and administrative tasks.
Expertise in manual therapy and patient handling techniques.
High integrity, empathy, and commitment to patient confidentiality.
