Medical Imaging Technologist

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the review of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to ultrasound techniques.
• Implement assigned field tasks in ultrasonography during fieldwork operations.
• Support field work activities, including anthropometric measurements and triaging of participants.
• Maintain and strictly adhere to infection prevention and control standards.
• Perform regular maintenance and servicing of sonography and ultrasound apparatus/equipment.
• Manage research data, ensuring accurate archiving of digital bioimages from scans.
• Conduct various physiological examinations such as Spirometry, Grip strength, and Leg force assessment.
• Assist in project outreach and the dissemination of research findings.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences, Radiography, or a related field (Mandatory).
• Must be registered and licensed with the Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority (KENRA) (Mandatory).
• Demonstrated experience in medical imaging techniques (Mandatory).
• Strong planning, communication, and reporting skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Must be comfortable working in remote fieldwork conditions (Mandatory).
