ActionAid International is seeking a Philanthropy and Partnerships Fundraising Lead to drive high-value fundraising from major donors, trusts and foundations, and strategic philanthropic partners. This role is designed for a proven and experienced fundraiser with a strong track record of securing major gifts, building senior donor relationships, and developing compelling opportunities for philanthropic investment.
The postholder will work across the federation to unlock new funding opportunities, deepen existing partnerships, and create meaningful donor engagement opportunities, ranging from tailored cultivation moments to donor roundtables and international funder engagement. Working closely with Programme and Policy colleagues, the Lead will shape strong cases for support that inspire confidence and secure significant funding for ActionAid’s mission and long-term ambition.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Fundraising: Drive high-value fundraising initiatives targeting major donors, trusts, foundations, and strategic philanthropic partners globally.
Partnership Development: Unlock new funding opportunities and deepen existing partnerships across the ActionAid federation.
Donor Engagement: Create and manage meaningful donor engagement opportunities, including tailored cultivation events, donor roundtables, and international funder engagement.
Collaboration: Partner with Programme and Policy colleagues to develop compelling cases for support that align with ActionAid's mission and secure significant funding.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain senior-level relationships with donors and partners to ensure long-term support.
Requirements
Education: BA/BSc/HND degree in a relevant field.
Experience: Strategic, relationship-driven fundraising leadership experience with a multi-year track record of growing financial support from philanthropists and trust/foundation partners.
Fundraising Track Record: Proven success in securing high-value funding and major gifts.
Leadership: Experience in building senior relationships and developing partnerships for long-term support.
