Role Overview
Mediforte Hospital is seeking a dedicated and qualified Pharmaceutical Technologist to join our healthcare team in Kisii. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing pharmacy stock, preparing accurate prescriptions, ensuring compliance with professional hospital standards, and maintaining comprehensive patient records.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Pharmacology and Patient Care: Apply strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and dosage requirements to provide safe pharmaceutical services.
Prescription Management: Prepare and dispense accurate prescriptions and maintain updated patient records.
Stock and Compliance: Manage pharmacy inventory, lead procurement processes, and ensure strict compliance with hospital standards and regulations.
Administration: Process insurance claims and navigate hospital billing systems efficiently.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
Professional Registration: Must be registered and licensed by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of active experience working in a Level 4 Hospital or equivalent healthcare facility.
Key Skills: Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, dosage requirements, stock management, procurement, and familiarity with insurance claims and hospital billing systems.
