Job Description
The Personal Assistant to the CEO at Skills Geographic Kenya (SGK) will play a critical role in managing the executive's professional life, ensuring seamless operations within the CEO's office. This involves handling complex schedules, stakeholder communications, and providing high-level administrative support to ensure the CEO can focus on strategic priorities. The role requires a blend of administrative excellence, professional discretion, and the ability to coordinate across various organizational levels.
Main Responsibilities
Calendar Management: Manage the CEO's diary, schedule, and calendar to optimize time and ensure all commitments are met.
Communication Interface: Serve as the primary communication interface for the CEO, managing incoming and outgoing correspondence.
Meeting Coordination: Coordinate board, management, and executive meetings, including preparing agendas and taking minutes.
Travel & Logistics: Manage travel, logistics, and event coordination for both domestic and international engagements.
Research & Reporting: Provide research, reporting, and briefing support to prepare the CEO for meetings and presentations.
Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality and manage sensitive information regarding company operations and strategy.
Special Projects: Support special projects and company-wide initiatives as directed by the CEO.
Office Administration: Manage general office administration for the CEO's office.
Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Governance & Compliance: Support governance and compliance requirements, including board-related documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Secretarial Studies, or a related field.
Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience as a personal assistant, executive assistant, or in a senior administrative role.
C-Suite Experience: At least 3 years specifically supporting a C-suite Executive.
Sector Experience: Experience in the financial services/insurance sector, or related sectors is strongly preferred.
Technical Skills: Proven track record of managing complex executive schedules, multi-stakeholder communications, and high-profile events.
Certifications: Professional certification in executive assistance, business administration, or secretarial practice is desirable.
Additional Assets: Exposure to board governance, regulatory environments, and corporate secretarial functions is an added advantage.
