Role Overview
Taita Taveta County Public Service Board is seeking to recruit qualified and competent individuals to fill the position of Orthopedic Technologist III. There are two (2) available vacancies for this role. Successful candidates will be appointed on Permanent and Pensionable terms, with a basic salary scale determined by the Salaries and Remunerations Commission (SRC).
Responsibilities
While specific duties are not detailed in the posting, Orthopedic Technologists typically perform the following tasks:
Fabricating, fitting, and maintaining orthopedic appliances such as braces, splints, and prosthetics.
Assisting in the management of orthopedic trauma cases.
Counseling patients on the use and care of appliances.
Maintaining technical and patient records within the orthopedic department.
Requirements for Appointment
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
Must be a Kenyan Citizen.
Must be in possession of at least a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
Must have successfully completed at least three years of pre-service training at a recognized medical training center.
Must have been awarded a Diploma in Orthopedic Technology or an equivalent qualification from a recognized medical training institution.
