Job Description
Taita Taveta County Public Service Board is seeking to recruit qualified individuals for the position of Orthopedic Technologist III (2 Posts). This is a permanent and pensionable role under the salary scales provided by the Salaries and Remunerations Commission (SRC). The successful candidates will be responsible for providing essential orthopedic technical services to patients, including the application and maintenance of supportive devices.
Responsibilities
Application and removal of plaster casts, splints, and braces.
Managing and maintaining orthopedic equipment and traction apparatus.
Assisting medical staff in the management of orthopedic patients and procedures.
Fitting and adjusting orthopedic appliances for patients.
Ensuring cleanliness and safety within the orthopedic unit.
Providing patient education on the care of casts and mobility aids.
Requirements and Qualifications
Must be a Kenyan Citizen.
Possession of at least Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
Successfully completed at least three (3) years pre-service training at a recognized medical training center.
Awarded a Diploma in Orthopedic Technology or possess an equivalent qualification from a recognized medical training institution.
