Role Overview
The Tharaka Nithi County Public Service Board (CPSB) is seeking to recruit qualified and competent individuals for the position of Orthopaedic Trauma Technician [3]. This role involves providing specialized technical support in orthopedic and trauma medicine within county healthcare facilities. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing high-quality plaster services and managing patient care in consultation with orthopedic specialists.
Duties and Responsibilities
Plaster Services: Provide professional plaster and casting services based on the assigned level of care.
Patient Counseling: Guide and counsel patients, clients, and their families on orthopedic-related health issues in collaboration with Specialists.
Patient Referrals: Facilitate appropriate patient and client referrals through consultation with other team members.
Student Mentorship: Provide coaching and mentorship to students on clinical attachment.
Data and Research: Collect and compile clinical data for research purposes regarding plaster services.
Resource Management: Order and monitor the usage of orthopedic commodities and medical supplies.
Other Duties: Execute any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements for Appointment
Must be a Kenyan Citizen.
Must hold a Certificate in Orthopaedic and Trauma Medicine from a recognized training institution.
Must be computer literate.
