Job Description
The County Government of Kitui is seeking to recruit six (6) Nutrition and Dietetics Technologists III. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing essential nutrition services within health care facilities and managing community-based nutrition programs.
Duties and Responsibilities
Program Implementation: Execute nutrition programs and promote maternal, infant, and young children feeding initiatives.
Clinical Services: Provide nutrition services in health care facilities and implement outpatient and inpatient supplementary and therapeutic feeding programs.
Assessment and Monitoring: Conduct nutrition assessments, monitor the preparation of therapeutic feeds, and provide micronutrient supplementation.
Education and Counseling: Offer nutrition health education and demonstrations, and provide specialized counseling to patients with specific nutritional needs.
Data Management: Collect, compile, and maintain accurate nutrition data for reporting and analysis.
Requirements
Diploma in Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Nutrition and Dietetics or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
Registration by the relevant professional body
Certificate in Computer Application skills from a recognized institution
