Job Description
The Nakuru County Government is seeking to recruit qualified individuals for the position of Nursing Officer I. This role is central to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services within the county, involving the provision of holistic, evidence-based nursing care to patients and the broader community. The successful candidate will be responsible for clinical assessments, planning interventions, and ensuring a safe and effective care environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
Providing holistic care by assessing, formulating, planning, and implementing evidence-based nursing care.
Conducting risk identification and assessment of individuals to determine appropriate medical pathways.
Ensuring a safe nursing care environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Conducting community health risk assessments and providing outcome-based interventions to improve public health.
Referring patients and clients appropriately to specialized services or higher-level facilities.
Facilitating patients’ admission processes and initiating comprehensive discharge plans.
Maintaining detailed and accurate nursing records on patients' personal and health conditions.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Valid Practicing License from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Certificate in Computer Application Skills.
