The MWR Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing and managing accounting functions and financial reporting for Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) operations. This individual ensures compliance with regulatory standards and Navy requirements and upholds a strong focus on customer service and administrative excellence. Key responsibilities include preparing and maintaining a comprehensive accounting calendar, generating financial reports from systems such as SAP, FoodTrak, Micros, and AIMS, and managing Uniform Funding Management Memorandum of Agreement (UFM MOA) billing. The role also involves handling revenue tracking, expense allocation, and ensuring customer service excellence in line with Navy standards. Additional duties include managing hazardous materials procedures, performing financial reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records for stakeholders.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n- Preparing and maintaining a comprehensive accounting calendar that identifies the date of the end of each accounting month.\n- Generating and submitting financial reports from systems including SAP, FoodTrak, Micros, and AIMS in accordance with CNIC requirements.\n- Preparing UFM MOA billing by consolidating accumulated expenses with supporting documentation on Form 1034.\n- Ensuring compliance with Navy guidance under CNICINST 1710.3 regarding MWR program operations.\n- Handling revenue tracking and expense allocation for MWR programs.\n- Maintaining current CPR certification and adhering to procedures for handling and storage of hazardous materials.\n- Performing financial reconciliations, analyses, and audits for all MWR-related accounts.\n\n### Requirements\n- Relevant accounting or financial management experience in a leadership or senior accounting role.\n- Familiarity with accounting systems such as SAP, FoodTrak, Micros, and AIMS.\n- Proven experience in financial reporting and managing billing under federal regulations (AIMS User’s Handbook).\n- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or willingness to obtain it.\n- Understanding of customer service programs equivalent to Navy’s MWR Star Service.\n- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling principles under CNICINST 1710.3.\n- High school diploma or equivalent; advanced education in accounting or finance is highly desirable.\n- Valid passport for a minimum of one (1) year at the time of hire and ability to travel internationally.\n- Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain them for the duration of deployment.\n\n### Preferred Qualifications\n- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.\n- Prior experience managing financial operations for MWR programs.\n- Experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce.\n- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply online via the Amentum careers portal.
