Taita Taveta County Public Service Board is seeking to recruit a Medical Laboratory Technologist III on permanent and pensionable terms. This technical role within the health department involves providing vital diagnostic services to support patient care and medical decision-making. The successful candidate will receive a basic salary scale as provided for by the Salaries and Remunerations Commission.
Responsibilities
While specific duties are defined by the department, a Medical Laboratory Technologist III is generally responsible for:
Performing various laboratory tests and analysis to assist in medical diagnosis.
Collecting, processing, and handling patient specimens in accordance with standard protocols.
Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy.
Keeping detailed and accurate records of tests performed and results obtained.
Adhering to safety and quality control standards in the laboratory environment.
Requirements for Appointment
Must be a Kenyan Citizen.
Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences or any other equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the Kenya Medical Technicians and Technologist Board (KMLTTB).
Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution.
Registration certificate issued by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board.
A valid practicing license from the KMLTTB.
