Job Description
Kisumu County is seeking eight qualified individuals to fill the position of Medical Laboratory Technologist III. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing essential diagnostic laboratory services to support patient care and management within county health facilities. This role requires technical precision and a strong commitment to healthcare standards.
Responsibilities and Duties
Perform various diagnostic laboratory investigations as requested by medical staff.
Collect, handle, and process medical specimens (such as blood, urine, and tissues) accurately.
Maintain, calibrate, and ensure the hygiene of laboratory equipment and instruments.
Ensure all laboratory activities adhere to strict biosafety and quality assurance protocols.
Accurately document, record, and communicate laboratory results to healthcare providers.
Manage and maintain laboratory inventory and supplies to ensure uninterrupted service.
Requirements and Qualifications
Must be a Kenyan Citizen.
Must hold a Diploma in Laboratory Sciences from a recognized institution.
Must be registered and licensed by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
Proficiency in computer applications is required.
Candidates with foreign degrees must have them authenticated by the Commission for University Education (CUE).
Applicants will be required to submit academic certificates authenticated by the issuing institutions during the interview stage.
Chapter 6 clearance requirements (such as KRA, DCI, EACC) will only be required from successful candidates.
