Role Overview
M-KOPA's mission is to make high quality energy affordable to everyone. As a Marketing Officer for the eMobility division, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and tracking marketing campaigns across both digital and on-ground channels. You will manage the entire campaign lifecycle, from briefing creatives to performance reporting, ensuring that all marketing activities align with business objectives and drive sales conversion.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and track campaigns across digital and on-ground channels, including scheduling, posting, and performance reporting.
Content Creation: Write copy and coordinate visuals for various platforms such as social media, email, SMS, WhatsApp, and sales materials.
Field Activations: Plan and execute field activations, product demonstrations, trade shows, and community events to increase brand awareness.
Market Insights: Track campaign metrics and share market insights to help shape future marketing strategies.
Competitive Analysis: Conduct competitor research and analysis, maintaining a regular reporting cadence to stay ahead of market trends.
Budget Tracking: Monitor marketing spend across various channels against awareness and sales conversion outcomes to maximize Return on Investment (ROI).
Inventory Management: Manage records of marketing Point of Sale Materials (POSMs) and branded merchandise.
Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team on lead generation initiatives and support partner marketing efforts.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: A degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
Experience: 2–3 years of relevant experience in marketing.
Technical Skills: Fluency in digital marketing tools such as Meta Ads, Google Ads, Canva, Mailchimp, or similar software.
Languages: Strong written English skills; proficiency in Swahili is a bonus.
Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable taking initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Interests: A genuine curiosity about mobility, fintech, or clean energy sectors in Africa.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nairobi, Kenya. You will be reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Operations – Mobility.
