Tom Mboya University is seeking to recruit qualified and experienced academic staff for the position of Lecturer in the field of Sustainable Blue Economy. The successful candidate will join a growing institution that traces its roots to the Maseno University Learning Centre. The role primarily involves teaching at the university level, conducting high-quality research, and contributing to the academic excellence of the department.
Responsibilities and Duties
Deliver academic instruction and lectures to students in the Sustainable Blue Economy program.
Conduct and publish original research in refereed scholarly journals.
Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects.
Contribute to the development and review of academic curricula.
Participate in departmental activities, committees, and community outreach programs.
Maintain registration and active standing with relevant professional bodies.
Requirements for Appointment
Must possess an earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in a relevant field from an accredited and recognized university.
Must have at least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level or significant experience in research or the industry.
Must have a minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points, with at least sixteen (16) of those points coming from refereed scholarly journals.
Must be registered with the relevant professional body where applicable.
