We are currently seeking a qualified Lecturer in Psychiatric Nursing to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for training high-level human resource that meets the development needs of the country and the international labor market, while sustaining the production of high-quality research, consultancy, and the dissemination of knowledge and competencies.
Responsibilities
Provide academic instruction and lecturing to students in the field of Psychiatric Nursing.
Conduct high-quality research and contribute to the university's scholarly output.
Engage in consultancy and dissemination of knowledge and skills.
Participate in departmental activities and curriculum development.
Provide mentorship and supervision to students in clinical and research settings.
Requirements for Appointment
To be eligible for appointment to the position of Lecturer, the candidate must have:
An MSc degree in Psychiatric Nursing or a relevant area from an accredited/recognized institution.
A minimum of twelve (12) research publication output points from refereed scholarly journals and two (2) points from publications in conference proceedings.
A minimum of thirty-two (32) publication points if the applicant is from a research institution.
A minimum of six (6) publication points if the applicant is from practice/industry.
Evidence of recognition and registration by the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
Evidence of membership or affiliation with a relevant professional body where applicable.
A doctorate degree (PhD) will be considered an added advantage.
