We are currently seeking a highly qualified and committed Lecturer in Pharmacology to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be expected to provide high-level academic instruction, conduct significant research, and contribute to the university's mission of training high-level human resources for both local and international markets.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Deliver lectures and facilitate academic training for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Pharmacology and related subjects.
Conduct high-quality research and publish results in refereed scholarly journals.
Supervise student research, projects, and theses within the department.
Provide consultancy services and engage in the dissemination of academic knowledge, skills, and competencies.
Participate in curriculum development and review in the field of Pharmacognosy and complementary medicine.
Contribute to the university's research output and fulfill departmental administrative responsibilities.
Requirements for Appointment
To be eligible for appointment to the position of Lecturer, the candidate must possess:
A doctorate degree (Ph.D) from an accredited/recognized institution.
An MSc in Pharmacognosy and complementary medicine.
A minimum of twelve (12) research publication output points from refereed scholarly journals and two (2) points from publications in conference proceedings.
OR a minimum of thirty-two (32) publication points if the applicant is from a research institution.
OR a minimum of six (6) publication points if the applicant is from practice/industry.
Evidence of recognition and registration by the relevant regulatory body where applicable.
Evidence of membership or affiliation with a relevant professional body where applicable.
