Tom Mboya University is seeking to recruit two (2) qualified and experienced Lecturers in the field of Nursing. The successful candidates will be responsible for academic instruction, conducting research, and providing leadership within the Nursing department. This role involves preparing students for professional nursing careers through high-quality teaching and mentorship.
Responsibilities and Duties
Develop and deliver course content for undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programs.
Conduct original research in nursing and related health sciences.
Publish research findings in reputable refereed scholarly journals.
Supervise student research projects, theses, and clinical practicums.
Participate in curriculum review and development to ensure academic excellence and professional relevance.
Engage in university service, including committee participation and departmental administration.
Maintain registration and active involvement with relevant professional nursing bodies.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field (Nursing) from an accredited and recognized university.
Experience: At least three (3) years of teaching at the university level or in research or industry.
Publications: A minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points, of which at least sixteen (16) should be from refereed scholarly journals.
Professional Registration: Must be registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable).
