Tom Mboya University is seeking to recruit qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Lecturer in Medical Laboratory Sciences. This academic role is centered on providing high-quality instruction, fostering research excellence, and contributing to the university's growth within the field of health sciences. The university traces its roots to the Maseno University Learning Centre established in Homa Bay town in 2010 and has since evolved into a full-fledged institution dedicated to academic excellence.
Responsibilities
Deliver lectures and practical instruction in the field of Medical Laboratory Sciences.
Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research and projects.
Conduct original research and publish findings in refereed scholarly journals.
Participate in curriculum development and review processes.
Contribute to departmental and university administrative tasks and committees.
Mentor students and provide academic guidance.
Requirements for Appointment
Must have an earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in Medical Laboratory Sciences or a relevant field from an accredited and recognized university.
At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level or significant experience in research or industry.
A minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points, of which at least sixteen (16) should be from refereed scholarly journals.
Must be registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable).
