Tom Mboya University is looking to recruit two (2) Lecturers specializing in Governance and Public Policy. This role is fundamental to the academic mission of the university, requiring individuals who can provide high-quality instruction, contribute significantly to research in their field, and participate in the development of the university's curriculum and academic community.
Responsibilities
Teaching and facilitating learning for undergraduate and/or postgraduate students in Governance and Public Policy.
Conducting original research and contributing to the body of knowledge in the relevant field.
Maintaining a consistent record of publication in refereed scholarly journals.
Participating in the design and periodic review of the academic curriculum.
Mentoring students and supervising academic research projects.
Engaging in university-wide administrative tasks and committees as assigned.
Registering and maintaining active membership with relevant professional bodies where applicable.
Qualifications and Experience
An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in Governance, Public Policy, or a relevant field from an accredited and recognized university.
At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level or equivalent experience in research or industry.
A minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points, with at least sixteen (16) points specifically from refereed scholarly journals.
Registration with a relevant professional body is required where applicable.
