Tom Mboya University is seeking to recruit qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Lecturer in Environmental Planning and Management (2 Posts). The University, which traces its roots to the Maseno University Learning Centre, is looking for scholars capable of delivering high-quality instruction, conducting impactful research, and contributing to the university's academic excellence.
Responsibilities
Deliver lectures and facilitate learning for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Environmental Planning and Management.
Conduct original research in the relevant field and publish findings in refereed scholarly journals.
Supervise student research projects, theses, and dissertations.
Participate in curriculum review and development to ensure academic programs remain relevant and of high quality.
Engage in departmental and faculty administrative duties, including attending meetings and serving on committees.
Provide academic advisory and mentorship to students.
Participate in community outreach and professional service activities.
Requirements for Appointment
Candidates must possess the following:
An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in Environmental Planning and Management or a related relevant field from an accredited and recognized university.
At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level or significant experience in research or relevant industry sectors.
A minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points, of which at least sixteen (16) should be from refereed scholarly journals.
Registration with a relevant professional body (where applicable).
