Tom Mboya University is seeking to recruit qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Lecturer in English (2 Posts). The successful candidates will be responsible for academic instruction, conducting impactful research, and contributing to the development of the English department.
Responsibilities and Duties
Deliver lectures and tutorials to undergraduate and postgraduate students in the field of English.
Engage in scholarly research and publish findings in refereed scholarly journals.
Develop and update course materials and curricula in line with academic standards.
Supervise student research projects and provide academic mentorship.
Participate in departmental meetings and university committees.
Contribute to the university's community outreach and consultancy services.
Requirements for Appointment
An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field (English) from an accredited and recognized university.
At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level or in research or industry.
A minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points, of which at least sixteen (16) should be from refereed scholarly journals.
Registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable).
