Kisii University is seeking a qualified and dedicated academic professional to join the faculty as a Lecturer in Educational Philosophy. Key Responsibilities and Duties
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of Educational Philosophy.
Conduct rigorous research and publish findings in refereed scholarly journals and conference proceedings.
Supervise student research projects, theses, and dissertations.
Provide consultancy services and professional expertise to the university and the community.
Develop curricula and participate in academic administrative tasks within the department.
Stay active in professional circles and relevant regulatory bodies to maintain high academic standards.
Requirements for Appointment
To be eligible for appointment to the position of Lecturer, the candidate must have:
A doctorate degree (PhD) in Educational Philosophy or a related field from an accredited/recognized institution.
A minimum of twelve (12) research publication output points from refereed scholarly journals and two (2) points from publications in conference proceedings.
Alternatively, a minimum of thirty-two (32) publication points if the applicant is from a research institution.
Alternatively, a minimum of six (6) publication points if the applicant is from practice/industry.
Evidence of recognition and registration by the relevant regulatory body where applicable.
Evidence of membership or affiliation with a relevant professional body where applicable.
