Job Description
Tom Mboya University is seeking qualified and experienced individuals to fill the position of Lecturer in the department of Ecotourism, Hotel and Institutional Management. This role is intended for individuals who have achieved significant academic milestones and are ready to contribute to the university's mission of academic excellence through teaching, research, and community service.
Responsibilities and Duties
Delivering lectures and facilitating learning in Ecotourism, Hotel Management, and Institutional Management disciplines.
Conducting impactful research and contributing to the body of knowledge in the relevant field.
Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students in their research projects and academic development.
Participating in the development and review of the university curriculum to ensure it meets contemporary industry and academic standards.
Engaging in university administrative roles and contributing to departmental goals.
Maintaining active membership and engagement with relevant professional bodies.
Requirements for Appointment
Must possess an earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized university.
Must have at least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level or significant experience in research or industry.
A minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points, of which at least sixteen (16) should be from refereed scholarly journals.
Must be registered with a relevant professional body (where applicable).
