Tom Mboya University is seeking to recruit two (2) Lecturers in the field of Cyber Security and Forensics. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing academic leadership through teaching, research, and community service. This role is ideal for individuals with a deep understanding of digital forensics and cyber security architectures who are passionate about mentoring the next generation of ICT professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality lectures and manage academic programs for students in the ICT/Computer Science department.
Conduct original research and publish findings in high-impact, refereed scholarly journals.
Design and update course materials and teaching methodologies to align with industry trends.
Provide academic mentorship and supervise student research projects and dissertations.
Participate in departmental administrative tasks, university committees, and curriculum development initiatives.
Engage with professional bodies and industry partners to enhance the university's research profile.
Requirements for Appointment
An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in Cyber Security, Forensics, or a closely relevant field from an accredited and recognized university.
At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level, or significant experience in high-level research or the industry.
A minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points, of which at least sixteen (16) must be from refereed scholarly journals.
Registration with a relevant professional body (where applicable).
