Kisii University is seeking a qualified and dedicated professional to fill the position of Lecturer in Curriculum & Instruction Nursing. The successful candidate will contribute to the university's mission of training high-level human resources to meet national and international labor market needs through high-quality research, consultancy, and the dissemination of specialized knowledge.
Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive lectures and instructional materials in the field of Nursing, specifically focused on Curriculum and Instruction.
Conduct and publish high-quality research in refereed scholarly journals and participate in academic conferences.
Participate in curriculum development and review to ensure academic programs remain relevant and competitive.
Provide consultancy services and contribute to knowledge dissemination within the community and industry.
Mentor and supervise students in their academic and research activities.
Engage in university service and committee work as required by the department.
Requirements for Appointment
To be eligible for appointment, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Possess an MSc degree in the relevant area from an accredited or recognized institution.
Demonstrate a minimum of twelve (12) research publication output points from refereed scholarly journals and two (2) points from publications in conference proceedings.
Alternatively: A minimum of thirty-two (32) publication points if the applicant is coming from a research institution, OR a minimum of six (6) publication points if the applicant is coming from practice/industry.
Provide evidence of recognition and registration by the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
Provide evidence of membership or affiliation with a relevant professional body where applicable.
A doctorate degree (PhD) will be an added advantage.

Excellent communication and presentation skills for academic delivery.
Commitment to student mentorship and academic excellence.
Familiarity with regulatory standards in nursing education in Kenya.
