We are seeking a Laundry Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the supervision and coordination of all laundry staff, ensuring that all services offered by the laundry department are available and carried out with the utmost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate all laundry staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
Maintain a full working knowledge of all washing, dry cleaning, pressing machines, and all equipment utilized in the laundry for operation and maintenance.
Possess full knowledge and understanding of all chemical products utilized, ensuring their proper, safe, and economical use, storage, and environmentally-sound disposal.
Inform the manager on chemical consumption progress and initiate requisitions when necessary.
Apply comprehensive knowledge of various textiles and their proper care.
Oversee and execute washing, dry cleaning, and equipment maintenance procedures.
Constantly inspect linen, uniforms, and guest laundry for cleanliness, quality of pressing, folding, and packaging.
Check for defects on guest laundry and staff uniforms, providing recommendations where necessary.
Supervise the distribution of all articles to ensure an adequate supply of linen, as well as the efficient handling and inventory control of guest, manager, and employee uniforms.
Qualifications and Requirements
Diploma in Housekeeping & Laundry Operations or a related field.
Previous experience in a similar capacity.
Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
