The Kitchen Steward plays a crucial support role in the restaurant's culinary operations, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, dishware, and cooking equipment. This role is essential for ensuring a safe and hygienic working environment for all staff.
Key Responsibilities (Inferred for role clarity)
Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness standards for all kitchen areas, including floors, walls, storage rooms, and workspaces.
Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment efficiently.
Wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans promptly.
Properly store cleaned equipment and utensils.
Assist in receiving and storing kitchen supplies and inventory.
Manage waste disposal and coordinate recycling efforts.
Support the culinary team with basic prep tasks when needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BSc), or Higher National Diploma (HND) qualification.
