Thika Technical Training Institute (TTTI) is a Government Technical Training institute established under the Ministry of Education, State Department for Vocational and Technical Training. We are seeking a qualified and competent individual to fill the position of Internal Auditor I (Job Group 7).
Role Overview
The Internal Auditor I will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the institution's financial and operational processes. The role involves assessing risk management, internal control systems, and governance processes to ensure compliance with auditing standards, procedures, and relevant laws.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct independent and objective audits of the institution's financial and operational processes.
Evaluate the effectiveness of internal control systems and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accountability.
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, auditing standards, and institutional policies.
Assess the accuracy, reliability, and completeness of financial records and reports.
Identify potential risk areas and provide practical mitigation strategies.
Utilize the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System to track and report on audit findings.
Prepare comprehensive audit reports for management and the Board of Governors.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Commerce (Finance or Accounting), Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or its equivalent.
CPA-K qualification.
Current member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).
Current member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Kenya chapter.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Practical knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems.
At least 4 years' work experience in a similar or related position.
Proven knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, laws, and regulations.
Salary: As per the approved TTTI salary structure.
