ICU Nurse

Nanyuki Cottage Hospital is a nonprofit healthcare facility located in Nanyuki, Laikipia County, Kenya. Established in 1934, the hospital currently maintains 50 inpatient beds and provides a range of services including surgery, laboratory testing, radiology, and pharmacy services. We are looking for a qualified ICU Nurse to provide specialized care to critically ill patients in our Intensive Care Unit.\n\n### Role Overview\nThe ICU Nurse will be responsible for the continuous monitoring and treatment of patients with life-threatening conditions. The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver intensive nursing interventions and ensure high standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.\n\n### Key Responsibilities and Duties\n* Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit.\n* Monitor and interpret patients' vital signs and clinical parameters.\n* Administer medications and manage intravenous infusions.\n* Collaborate with physicians and other medical staff on patient care plans.\n* Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment used in critical care.\n* Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records and documentation.\n* Offer support and updates to patients' families regarding their loved ones' status.\n\n### Requirements and Qualifications\n* A Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Nursing, a BA, or a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Nursing.\n* Must be registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).\n* Possess a valid and current practicing license.\n* Specialized certification or training in Critical Care Nursing (ICU) is highly preferred.\n* Strong technical proficiency with medical technology and equipment.\n* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.\n* Ability to remain calm and effective in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their applications via email to .
