Human Resource Manager

Established 12 years ago, PrideInn Hotels, Resorts & Camp is a prominent and rapidly growing hospitality brand with a strong presence in 5 counties across Kenya (Nairobi, Machakos, Narok, Mombasa, and Kwale). Currently operating 8 hotels and a camp with over 1,000 employees, we are seeking a Human Resource Manager to lead our HR department and serve as a strategic business partner.

Role Overview

The Human Resource Manager will act as a strategic business partner and legal advisor to Department Heads on workforce planning, capacity expansion, and labor cost optimization. This role is data-driven, focusing on KPIs, talent development, and maintaining robust industrial relations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnering

• Act as a legal advisor to Department Heads on workforce planning and capacity expansion.
• Focus on labor cost optimization with a P&L perspective.

HR Analytics & Insights

• Own HR data and analyze KPIs including labor cost percentage, turnover rates, absenteeism, and Training ROI to drive board-level decisions.

Talent & Performance Management

• Drive a high-performance culture through robust Performance Management Systems (PMS).
• Oversee service-standard training and build internal leadership pipelines.

Industrial & Employee Relations

• Lead union engagements (CBA), grievance handling, and disciplinary processes.
• Ensure strict adherence to Kenyan Labor Laws and IHRM standards.

HRIS & Operations

• Ensure 100% accuracy in payroll oversight and benefits administration.
• Manage statutory compliance via advanced HRIS platforms.

Requirements & Qualifications

• BA/BSc/HND in Human Resources Management or a related field.
• Membership or professional certification from IHRM is expected.
• Extensive experience in Industrial Relations and handling Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA).
• Proficiency in HR Analytics and HRIS platforms.
• Deep understanding of Kenyan Labor Laws.
