Halisi Family Hospital is a multi-specialty 25-bed inpatient and outpatient hospital in Kitengela, Kajiado County. Founded and managed by doctors, our purpose is to provide high quality healthcare with integrity and compassion to families in Kitengela and neighboring Kajiado, Machakos and Nairobi.
Role Summary
The Healthcare Assistant (Locum) will assist nurses and doctors in carrying out their duties towards patients and provides friendly, courteous and reasonable non-medical care in emergency situations, in the ward, theatre, outpatient, hospitality and housekeeping areas.
Key Responsibilities
Assist nurses and doctors in carrying out their clinical duties and patient-care tasks.
Provide non-medical care and assistance in emergency situations within the hospital.
Support activities in the ward, theatre, and outpatient departments to ensure efficient patient flow.
Deliver hospitality and housekeeping support to maintain a clean and welcoming environment for patients and families.
Maintain professional standards while interacting with patients and their families, ensuring integrity and compassion.
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma / Certificate in Healthcare Support / Nursing Aid / Nurse Assistant.
At least two (2) years’ experience in a hospital setting as an orderly or care assistant.
Must be registered with the Kenya Health Professions Oversight Authority.
Valid Practice License.
Basic Life Support or First Aid training will be an added advantage.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
