Role Overview
The Health Records and Information Management Officer is responsible for the systematic management of health data and information within the healthcare facility. The primary objective is to maintain accurate, secure, and accessible patient records and to provide reliable health information for decision-making and service delivery improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain comprehensive health records and information systems.
Ensure the confidentiality, security, and integrity of patient data.
Collect, analyze, and report health data to support clinical and administrative functions.
Utilize computer applications and information technology to streamline record-keeping processes.
Facilitate the retrieval of information for medical staff and authorized personnel.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
Bachelor's degree in Health Records and Information Management from a recognized institution.
Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
