The Head of Retail Analytics is responsible for providing strategic leadership to the analytics team, directly supporting the NCBA Group retail business growth agenda. This role focuses on leveraging data-driven insights to monitor performance, unlock new revenue streams, and ensure that all retail levels—from individual sales teams to business heads—are equipped with the necessary analytics to achieve organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Performance Reporting: Oversee the provision of regular sales reports, balance sheet growth, and P&L reports for all retail hierarchy levels, including individual sales representatives, branches, and business heads.
Cross-Functional Support: Partner with various retail departments, such as Product development, the Retail Digital team, and Branch business teams, providing the data analytics required to meet their specific targets.
Revenue Optimization: Use advanced customer data analytics to identify and extract value, unlocking significant revenue and growth opportunities for the bank.
Strategic Liaison: Collaborate with other bank-wide departments to drive the retail agenda, particularly with Finance for business performance reporting, Credit Risk, and Information Technology.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/HND) in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Finance, or Information Technology.
Professional Expertise: Proven experience in data analytics and business intelligence, specifically within the financial services or banking industry.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of analysts in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of retail banking operations, performance metrics, and data modeling.
