The Head of Operations will be responsible for spearheading the operational strategy and driving business transformation. This senior role focuses on improving service delivery and turnaround times, managing technology and business continuity controls, ensuring strict adherence to risk and compliance, and optimizing overall operational efficiency and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Strategy and Transformation: Develop and execute operational strategies that align with business growth and transform processes for scaling.
Service Delivery and Turnaround: Enhance service standards, ensure high-quality delivery, and minimize turnaround times across departments.
Technology and Business Continuity Controls, Risk and Compliance: Establish and manage internal controls, mitigate operational risk, and ensure IT systems and business continuity frameworks are secure and compliant.
Efficiency and People: Promote productivity, streamline workflows, and lead, mentor, and develop the operations team.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, Operations Management, or a related field. An MBA is an added advantage.
Professional certifications such as CPA (K), ACCA, PMP/PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma, or AKIB are highly desirable.
Minimum of 10 years' experience in banking or microfinance operations, with at least 5 years served at a senior management level.
