The Director of Monitoring and Evaluation is responsible for the continuous monitoring and analysis of the implementation of county government policies, programmes, and projects. This role advises the government on implementation challenges, recommends remedial actions, and evaluates project sustainability and efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities
Policy and Project Monitoring: Conduct continuous monitoring and analysis of government policies, programmes, and projects to advise on implementation problems and recommend remedial measures.
Systems Evaluation: Review existing management systems, procedures, and practices to improve overall public sector effectiveness and efficiency.
Learning and Development: Study implemented projects to draw practical experiences and lessons for future planning and design of similar initiatives.
Sustainability Assessment: Assess the sustainability of completed development projects.
Workplace Analysis: Monitor the working environment in the public sector and the conditions of public offices with a view to making appropriate recommendations for improvement.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a comparable and relevant position.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Human Resource Management/Development, Building/Land Economics, Law, Commerce, Engineering, Social Sciences, or any other relevant qualification from a university recognized in Kenya.
Competence: Demonstrated outstanding professional and managerial competence.
Strategic Understanding: A clear understanding of government goals and strategies, with the ability to integrate them into overall National development goals.
