Job Description
Makuyu Club is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head Chef to lead our culinary team at our 9-hole golf course located in Makuyu, Murang'a County. The ideal candidate will oversee kitchen operations, manage menu development, supervise staff, and maintain high standards of food quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Leadership: Lead overall kitchen operations, design innovative menus, and execute daily operations.
Staff Supervision: Supervise and guide cooking staff to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes.
Inventory Management: Track and manage kitchen inventory, handle stock ordering, and control food costs.
Hygiene and Safety: Enforce strict standards of kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Diploma in Culinary Arts or an equivalent qualification.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior kitchen leadership role (e.g., Head Chef or Sous Chef).
Skills: Strong leadership, creativity in menu planning, discipline, and excellent food production management skills.
