Role Overview\n\nThe ECDE Teacher for Kiluluini Feeder School will be responsible for the holistic development, teaching, and mentorship of young learners. This role involves creating a structured learning environment, implementing the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), and ensuring the health and safety of children.\n\n### Duties and Responsibilities\n\n- Holistic Development: Nurture young learners holistically through teaching and mentoring.\n- Develop schemes of work and lesson notes; develop schedules and enforce routines for learners to ensure adequate physical activities and rest.\n- Ensure registration of learners and maintain learners' progress and health reports.\n- Liaise with the Ministry of Health for deworming and other health-related issues, and maintain a safe and comfortable ECDE learning environment.\n- Provide age-appropriate supervision and discipline.\n- Communicate learners' behavior and development to parents/guardians through reports.\n- Use play and instructional techniques (e.g., storytelling, rhyming games) to enhance learning.\n- Address and cater to learners with special needs.\n- Sensitize the community on Early Years Education (EYE).\n- Perform any other duty assigned by the Head Teacher or Sub-County Officers.\n\n### Requirements for Appointment\n\n- Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) with a valid TSC number.\n- Minimum academic qualification: KCSE grade D+ and above.\n- Must be a trained ECDE teacher with a minimum professional qualification (Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education) from the Ministry of Education or KNEC.\n- Fluency and eloquence in the National official languages.\n- Age must be 45 years and below.\n- Demonstrated competency in the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).\n- Minimum of three (3) years working experience in an ECDE Center or equivalent environment.\n- Proficiency in computer applications.\n\n### How to Apply\n\nInterested and qualified candidates are requested to apply online through the Machakos County Public Service Board recruitment portal at .
