The Commission for University Education (CUE) is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Driver (Job Grade CUE 9). This role is essential for ensuring the safe transportation of personnel, goods, and the efficient maintenance of Commission vehicles.\n\n### Duties and Responsibilities\n* Driving the vehicle as authorized to various destinations.\n* Undertaking routine checks and maintenance of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.\n* Ensuring the safety of the vehicle, passengers, and goods therein.\n* Maintaining the work ticket for assigned vehicles.\n* Carrying out first aid in case of an accident.\n* Detecting and reporting malfunctioning vehicle systems promptly.\n* Securing the vehicle while on and off the road.\n* Enhancing the safety of passengers and/or goods.\n* Monitoring efficient and effective use of fuel.\n* Ensuring the cleanliness and overall maintenance of the vehicle.\n* Monitoring deadlines for the vehicle's insurance.\n* Reporting accidents, incidents, and theft cases promptly.\n\n### Qualifications and Experience\n* At least five (5) years of active driving experience.\n* Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D+ (plus) or its equivalent from a recognized institution.\n* Valid driving license free from any current endorsement(s) for the classes of vehicles the driver is required to drive.\n* Passed the Suitability Test for Drivers Grade I from the Ministry of Roads and Public Works.\n* Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.\n* First Aid Certificate course lasting not less than one (1) week from St. John's Ambulance or any other recognized institution.\n* Proficiency in computer applications.\n* Compliance with the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.\n\n### Compliance Documents for Successful Candidates\nSuccessful candidates will be required to provide the following before the award of an offer:\n* Valid Certificate of Good Conduct (DCI).\n* Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).\n* Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).\n* Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).\n* Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates who meet the requirements are requested to make their applications online through the Careers portal available on the CUE website at .
