Job Description
South Eastern Kenya University (SEKU) is a fully fledged university and the successor to the South Eastern University College (SEUCO). The university is seeking to recruit a qualified individual for the position of Driver to support its logistics and transportation needs.
Job Responsibilities
Vehicle Operation: Drive assigned plant and vehicles as required for university operations.
Security & Safety: Maintain the safety and security of the plant/vehicles to minimize pilferage and extend their operational life span.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate work tickets and logs for all trips.
Maintenance: Implement scheduled maintenance routines to ensure vehicle reliability.
Compliance: Ensure vehicle insurance and other relevant licenses are updated in a timely manner.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Must possess a KCSE certificate with a mean grade of D Plain or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Experience: Have at least four (4) years of relevant working experience.
Licensing: Possess a valid Driving license for classes A, B, C, E and a valid PSV license.
Conduct: Must have a valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
Languages: Be proficient in both English and Kiswahili.
Digital Literacy: Be computer literate.
Constitutional Compliance: Must satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya (2010) on Leadership and Integrity upon successful appointment.
