Job Description
Africa Nazarene University (ANU), an American private Christian University and an affiliate of The Church of the Nazarene Colleges and Universities, is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Driver. The primary role is to drive vehicles to transport students, staff, and guests to and from various destinations safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for adhering to traffic regulations, vehicle maintenance, and providing excellent passenger service.
Key Responsibilities
Drive university vehicles to transport students, staff, and guests following established schedules and traffic regulations.
Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles, checking fuel, oil, and water levels.
Report any vehicle defects and carry out minor repairs or servicing when necessary.
Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle at all times.
Report any transit delays or mechanical issues promptly.
Provide assistance to passengers, including elderly or disabled individuals, and help with luggage.
Handle passenger emergencies or incidents in a professional manner.
Maintain accurate transport records, including fuel receipts, parking fares, and logbooks.
Monitor and ensure driving licenses are always up to date.
Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum KCSE level certificate.
Technical certificate in a relevant field.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional driving experience.
Valid driving license Class C.E or a Smart license with the equivalent class.
Intensive defensive driving certificate.
A valid driving assessment report from AA (KENYA).
Suitability Grade III Test from the Ministry of Public Works is highly preferred.
