AGL (Africa Global Logistics), a reference multimodal logistics operator in Africa and part of the MSC family, is seeking a Disbursement Accountant to join its team in Mombasa. This role is responsible for analyzing accounting balances, managing disbursement controls, and ensuring accurate recovery of costs from clients.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze accounting balances of files in disbursement control.
Liaise with COMs and/or the Financial Disbursement Controller for corrective action in case of under-recovery or over-recovery on disbursements.
Prepare necessary vouchers for reallocation of costs missed in disbursement accounts to the correct control accounts upon approval by the ODC, in liaison with Operations Supervisors.
Prepare and present weekly reports on the progress made for analyzed files, classifying files whose costs have been correctly recovered from the client.
Highlight 'Alive Files' in disbursement control and liaise with the COMs for the archiving process of files aged over three months.
Notify the COMs of files requiring prompt recovery of monies disbursed on behalf of clients.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma Certificate or Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
CPA Section II professional qualification.
At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
