We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chief Nursing Officer to lead our nursing department and ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical outcomes.
Role Overview
The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) will provide strategic leadership and clinical oversight. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing nursing personnel, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, and maintaining the hospital's reputation for superior patient care.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction and leadership for the nursing department.
Oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care and safety protocols.
Manage and mentor nursing staff, including performance evaluations and professional development.
Ensure all nursing practices adhere to the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) regulations and hospital policies.
Collaborate with other departments to optimize clinical services and operational efficiency.
Maintain and improve nursing standards and clinical procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse (KRCHN) qualification.
Licensing: Must have a valid and current license from the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
Experience: 7-10 years of professional nursing experience.
Leadership: A minimum of 3-5 years in a senior leadership or management role within a hospital setting.
Certifications: Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Additional leadership training is considered a significant advantage.
