Role Objective\nOur client based in Mombasa is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Caregiver to provide personalized care and daily support to a child with special needs. The successful candidate will focus on the child’s wellbeing, comfort, and development by supporting daily routines, mobility, communication, and social interaction. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a meaningful difference in a child’s life.\n\n### Core Duties and Responsibilities\n- Provide attentive, day-to-day care and supervision to the child\n- Assist with daily living activities such as feeding, grooming, and toileting\n- Support mobility, positioning, and physical comfort safely\n- Help the child communicate needs, feelings, and preferences effectively\n- Encourage development of basic life skills and independence\n- Create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for the child\n- Support emotional, social, and behavioral development through positive interaction\n- Work closely with parents/guardians to ensure consistency in care routines\n- Accompany the child to therapy sessions, appointments, or activities where required\n- Monitor and report on the child’s progress, behavior, and any concerns\n- Use assistive devices or equipment appropriately where needed\n- Support transitions between activities and maintain structured routines\n\n### Job Specifications and Qualifications\n- Minimum two (2) years of experience working as a caregiver for children with special needs\n- Certificate or Diploma in Caregiving, Special Needs Care, Early Childhood Development, or a related field\n- Knowledge of sign language or alternative communication method\n\n### Key Competencies\n- Compassionate, patient, and attentive\n- High level of integrity and confidentiality\n- Flexible and adaptable to changing care needs\n- Strong observational and problem-solving skills\n- Good communication and interpersonal skills\n- Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations\n- Reliable, responsible, and well-organized\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates should forward their CV to: using the position as subject of the email.
