As a Blender at Heineken, you will be responsible for converting raw materials into ready-to-package cider beverages. This role ensures compliance with Standard Recipes, Quality Specifications, Product Legal Standards, Food Safety Standards, and Heineken Standards, while applying good manufacturing practices.
Key Responsibilities
Liquid Manufacture
Sensory Evaluation: Carry out sensory evaluation of raw materials and processed water before use in Primary Manufacturing. Perform sensory analysis of converted liquid at various steps of manufacturing to ensure quality consistency is maintained throughout the manufacturing cycle.
Beverage Conversion: Convert raw materials into ready-to-package cider beverages in compliance with Standard Recipes, Quality Specifications, Product Legal Standards, Food Safety Standards, and Heineken Standards while applying good manufacturing practice.
Blending calculations: Actualize blending calculators while ensuring that input quantity and quality is accurately loaded into blends.
Quality & Safety Evaluation: Evaluate process inputs, tanks, equipment, and final product to ensure the desired quality and food safety is achieved and maintained.
Control Monitoring: Review and monitor critical control points (CCPs)/Operational prerequisite programs (OPRPs) to ensure controls are maintained within required limits and necessary verifications are carried out to ensure compliance with food safety requirements.
Efficiency Control: Monitor and control liquid conversion efficiencies (speed, cost, quality) to ensure effective conversion of the liquid Manufacturing Process.
Root Cause Analysis: Establish the root causes of problems relating to equipment, process, or product manufactured in respective units.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement programs for primary manufacturing, quality, and sustainability (namely, water conservation, energy efficiency, and recycling, which are critical for effective/efficient operations).
Compliance and Safety
Maintain integrity, quality, safety, consistency, and sterility of the processing environment and equipment.
Maintain confidentiality of product formulations.
Support safety programs and policies to safeguard product and personal safety, company property, environmental, and team member’s safety.
Follow site safety rules.
Report incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe behaviors in the workplace.

TPM and Continuous Improvement
Participate in Cellar DCS and other TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) activities.

Requirements
Education: BA/BSc/HND in a relevant discipline.
Experience: Entry-level (not specified, but must have relevant academic/technical exposure to food science, manufacturing, or chemical processing).
