National Bank of Kenya is seeking a Bancassurance Sales Representative for the Rift Region. The primary purpose of this role is to drive the sale of insurance products and other retail business solutions within the branch network. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering quick, seamless, and high-quality service to customers, ensuring branch targets are met while maintaining regulatory and internal documentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Drive: Sell life, general, medical, and micro-insurance products within allocated branches to achieve set individual and branch targets.
Opportunity Identification: Work closely with branch staff to identify insurance opportunities and integrate insurance solutions into everyday banking conversations.
Market Intelligence: Gather and provide market intelligence, customer insights, and competitor updates to inform sales strategies and revenue growth.
Marketing Support: Support branch activations, marketing campaigns, and customer outreach activities to generate leads.
Staff Training: Conduct product knowledge sessions and technical training for branch staff through on-the-job coaching and huddles.
Sales Strategy: Participate in sales meetings and contribute innovative ideas to enhance productivity and customer engagement.
Claims Assistance: Act as the first point of contact for insurance claims, assisting with initial documentation and escalation.
Administrative Excellence: Ensure timely submission and follow-up of all insurance applications to guarantee a smooth customer experience.
Compliance: Collect accurate documentation for policy issuance, renewals, and endorsements in accordance with regulatory standards.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure high satisfaction and retention levels.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
Certifications: Mandatory professional certification in insurance, such as Certificate of Proficiency (COP) or ECOP.
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in Insurance, Bancassurance, or within a financial institution.
Added Advantage: Proven experience in selling insurance products or financial solutions.
