Job Description
Taita-Taveta County Public Service Board is inviting applications for the position of Assistant Public Health Officer (5 Posts). The successful candidates will be responsible for implementing and monitoring environmental and public health standards within the county to ensure community safety and disease prevention. This role is offered on Permanent and Pensionable terms.
Key Responsibilities
Executing public health inspections and environmental health assessments across various premises.
Ensuring strict adherence to public health regulations and sanitation standards.
Participating in and supporting community-based health and hygiene programs.
Maintaining records and compiling detailed reports on health inspections and interventions.
Performing disease surveillance and coordinating community health responses.
Educating the public on hygiene practices and environmental health issues.
Requirements for Appointment
Must be a Kenyan Citizen.
Diploma in either Environmental Health Science or Public Health Inspection from a recognized institution.
Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized institution.

Salary: Basic Salary Scale as provided for by the Salaries and Remunerations Commission (SRC).
