The County Government of Kitui is recruiting for six (6) Agricultural Officer positions. This role is crucial for coordinating essential agricultural activities and managing critical information within the county division, ensuring effective implementation of agricultural development strategies.

Salary and Terms of Service

• Salary Scale: Ksh. 39,700 x 1,470 – 41,170 x 1,520 – 42,690 x 1,710 – 44,400 x 1,920 – 46,320 x 2,000 – 48,320 x 2,290 – 50,610 x 2,350 – 52,690 p.m.
• Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable

Duties and Responsibilities

The appointed Agricultural Officer will be expected to perform the following duties:

1. Coordinate activities in one of the following areas: Crop Production, Land Development, agricultural extension, and Project management.
2. Management of information desks within the division.

Requirements for Appointment

Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:

• Be a Citizen of Kenya.
• Be in possession of a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in any of the following fields: Food Science, Home Economics, Agriculture, Horticulture, Agriculture Economics, Natural Resource Management, Agribusiness, Agriculture Extension, Agriculture Education, or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
