The County Government of Kitui is seeking to hire an Assistant Fisheries Officer III (2 Posts). This is a vital Full-Time role, offered on Permanent and Pensionable terms of service, focused on supporting the local fisheries sector through extension services, data management, quality control, and value addition initiatives.
The appointed officer will be responsible for the following key functions:
Assisting in delivering fish extension services, including conducting field days and training fishers.
Collecting and compiling fisheries statistical data.
Participating in fish quality assurance activities and marketing initiatives.
Promoting value addition techniques for fish products.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:
Must be a Citizen of Kenya.
Hold a Diploma in either Fisheries Management, Natural Resource Management, or an equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
Possess a Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution.
