Solvo is an organization that connects North American companies with talented employees and AI-powered tools, providing remote talent to U.S. and Canadian businesses across over 50 industry specialties. We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager to lead our accounting functions in Nairobi.
Role Overview
The Accounting Manager will oversee the full-cycle accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance within an international, multi-currency environment. This position involves leading an accounting team and providing strategic support to both Operations and Corporate Finance departments.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management: Oversee and manage the complete full-cycle accounting process.
Financial Analysis: Review and analyze financial reports to ensure data integrity and compliance with standards.
Controls: Manage reconciliations and maintain strict cash flow controls.
Leadership: Lead, coordinate, and mentor the accounting team (3+ years leadership experience required).
Strategic Support: Provide direct accounting and financial support to Operations and Corporate Finance functions.
Working Schedule
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: BA/BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role within an accounting department.
Background: Strong background in accounting operations and experience in international or multi-currency environments.
Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in consolidating and reconciling financial statements across multiple currencies.
Professional Experience: Prior experience in a Big Four accounting firm is highly preferred.
Language Proficiency: C1 / Advanced English is required for global communication.
